More Bad Luck

Remember how I said Greg and I are the unluckiest people ever? Well, our bad luck has struck again. On Thursday evening we tried to start up the lawnmower only to find that it had died. Then on Saturday morning when we were getting ready for a showing our vacuum died. Seriously. What is wrong with us? Why did this have to happen when our house is on the market?

Mystery Mormon House

We went house hunting for the third time yesterday, bringing our total to 13 houses seen. This time we ventured out into "the other ward." (Gasp!) Don't worry though, these houses had an instant point against them for that reason. One of the houses we saw was very beautiful, with the most well-maintained exterior we have seen yet. The first room we went in was the office, which contained two keyboards and some hard-core music equipment. We could tell there was a serious musician that lived here. Then upstairs in one of the bedrooms--it was obviously a girl's room--were hung several New Era posters. In another bedroom, a boy's room, hung a BYU pennant. We eventually figured out that we were in the home of Bro. and Sis. B.! (Do you know who I'm talking about? Think serious musician.) We had no idea idea they were even moving. Ironically, it's our favorite house so far, but I'm hoping for one with a little more backyard, although the woods and stream behind their house are amazing!

Showing Update: We had a slow week last week but we had two Monday, five yesterday, and one scheduled for today. I've lost count of our total now. And another house on our street just went up for sale. Aaaah!

DOM 10

I thought I'd give a little update on our house-selling adventure. Today was our 10th day on the market. We've had six people look at the house and two of them came back a second time. I think that's pretty good. We're feeling optimistic.

Yesterday we did some house hunting and saw four houses. It seems like finding our next house might be the hardest part of this whole process. We looked at the ones we've had an eye on from our internet searching but we were pretty disappointed. Our number one was a short sale with an amazing .8 acre flat lot in a great neighborhood. Turns out it needs a lot more than "a little TLC" like the description said. More like it needs to be gutted. I don't know if we're that adventurous. But we haven't ruled it out completely, we'll have to see what else is out there first.
