Toothless Wonder

Molly has lost three teeth in the last couple weeks or so. I don't know how she can eat anything!

Cherry Blossom Festival

We finally made it down to the Cherry Blossom Festival in D.C. this year. The blossoms were all gone though. At least we saw a good portion of the parade and walked around the Japanese street festival, which was so, so unbelievably crowded. I don't think I've ever been in a more crowed place in my life. And we had a stroller. It was definitely one of those "done it once, don't need to do it again experiences." The food was not nearly as good as the website hyped it up to be and we barely got to see anything in the booths because of the crowd. But the highlight of the day was seeing this guy in the parade...

Yes, that's right. It's Justin Guarini, American Idol season 1 runner-up and star of the box office hit From Justin to Kelly. What was even more funny was that he had the Washington Wizards girls dancing behind his float.

This is just a cute picture of Emma on the metro. She was not a fan at first, as you can see. She was saying, "Daddy, help!"

Spring Break

What do you do when it's spring break and it's 90 degrees outside?

Play in the sprinkler!

Molly's Birthday

We had a butterfly-themed party to celebrate Molly's 7th birthday. We decorated foamie crowns, played pin the tail on the donkey, painted sun catchers, made individual pizzas, jumped on the trampoline, and had a treasure hunt. I made these butterfly cupcakes for the celebration. Later that evening we had a family dinner. When I asked her what she wanted to eat she said she wanted "those square things with cheese in the middle." I finally figured out what she was talking about--mozzarella sticks. So I bought a big box of frozen mozzarella sticks. Some kids are just too easy. (I also made a salad and my mom brought California rolls and chicken drumsticks.)
