Should I repaint this room before putting my house on the market?

Question
So, judging by the comments that are left on this blog, there are about one and a half people that read it. But I'm still going to ask a question and I want as many opinions as possible.
We had a realtor look at our house and the only negative thing he said about it was something about the "bright green paint." (By the way, we are probably not selling right now.) It is more vivid in person than in the picture. Would a lot of people find this to be an offensive color? Is it too taste-specific? Please help!

Hey Nichole! Jessica here. The other one. Not Crowl. :) I found your blog through Crowl's blog. My blog is private. I will send you an invite shortly.
Anyway, in answering your question, I would say don't worry about it. If the buyers don't have imagination, then they shouldn't even be looking at buying a house. Now that I've said that... completely ignore it. I have had our house on the market for almost a year now and we haven't even gotten one offer. Tons of people have looked at it, but I keep wondering if it's our choice of paint colors in some of the rooms. (We have a few dark greens and the kids rooms are all painted in light colors.) I'm wondering if we painted everything off-white, if that will give people a better sense of what the house could be if they had it.
I guess in the end, don't worry about it now, but once you actually put it on the market, repaint it to a nice little beige or off-white that you can handle. (Although, I love the wall and I think it's gorgeous. If I was living there wouldn't change a thing.)
Those are my two cents that turned into about ten cents. :)
Do I count as half a person?
Did you paint that tree yourself? It's amazing. I LOVE it, and I love the green. The thing is, paint is easy. If whoever is looking is really concerned about the tree or the color, they can paint over it. But it's beautiful and if they happen to have a little girl I think it would help them picture their family living there. I personally would love to inherit such an cool wall!
I would leave it. I talked to mom and she said that paint colors don't really make or break a house. People are willing to repaint. The sorts of things that you need to do are repairs. You want them to be able to walk in and think, I don't have to fix anything for this house to be move in ready.
By the way, I think that tree is absolutely gorgeous!
Hello Nichole...(I found your page from Leslie Perry's page....I hope it's okay.) I would definately leave the paint the way it is. If, when you do put your house on the market, you have so many lookers that no one is making an offer, then I might consider repainting it. When we bought our house, it was painted (and we didn't like any of the colors), but we still bought it. We have just repainted over it. So your potential buyers could do the same thing. By the way....your new little Emma is just precious! (If you want to check out our blog, you can....www.chilericana.blogspot.com)
LEAVE it! Or change realtors. You can offer a "paint allowance" in the contract which means you'll give them X amount of $ at settlement to paint. (Great job on tree!)
I am with Jennilyn. Absolutely leave it! If you cahnge it, chances are that they are just going to change it hemselves (like we all do anyway). I LOVE your tree! It turned out fantastic. Did you do the leaves freehand or did you have some sort of stencil?
